The trucking industry is one that needs no introduction.
The fact that not all people reside in one place or that goods and services need a way to be distributed across geographical boundaries simply means that someone needs to figure out logistics.
Technology continues to spearhead the trucking industry with self driving trucks leading the way to solve the driver problem. There is a reported shortage of trucks (and drivers) on the road and one solution is autonomous technology which promises to reduce accidents and increase volumes of loads.
It must be made clear that autonomous trucks will still require a human in close proximity so while truck drivers continue to be hard to find, this industry will certainly attract more folks once they realize they will have little to do in the cockpit.
